“Camp 4” by Lightfoot
Lore has it that this classic tape was created completely on a PO33 with a broken screen. Incredible. But it’s not about that. It’s about the sound. Abstract yet expressive melodies blend flawlessly with slumped out drums at one moment, dropping into organic house jams the next. The rich percussive textures are enhanced by the flavoring of the Pocket Operator’s 8-bit sampler. This album holds on and won’t let go, before it’s time to run it back again as the last notes play.
